Getting started as a provider
Six simple steps to a fully working online booking setup.
Register and verify your email
Create an 1booq account, then confirm your email via the link we send you. We recommend enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) right away.
Create your business (Provider)
On the Dashboard, enter your business name, description, logo and contact details. This is what your clients will see.
Add your sites
Add each physical location as a separate site — with address, map position, timezone and description.
Create bookable slots
Add your services (tables, rooms, trainers, equipment). You can set maximum capacity, operating hours and even child-slot hierarchies.
Publish availability
On each slot, set whether bookings are confirmed automatically or require your manual approval, and define the open/close time windows.
Share the public booking page
Each Provider/Site/Slot has its own URL that you can share with clients or on social media. Clients can even book without registering, if you enable it.
Book in four steps
Easily find a provider and book an appointment.
Find a provider
Filter by city or service type in the search. You can view the provider's profile, available times and reviews.
Pick an open slot
The grid view shows free times at a glance. If sub-slots are available (e.g. tables, rooms), pick the one that fits you.
Enter your details and confirm
Fill in the booking form (name, email, phone, custom questions). Depending on the provider's setting, you can even book without creating an account.
Get confirmations and reminders
You'll receive an email confirmation and automatic reminders before the appointment. You can change or cancel within the provider's allowed window.
Keep your account safe
Password & recovery
Use a strong password with at least 8 characters. If you lose your password, use the "Forgot password" flow to set a new one via email.
Two-factor authentication (2FA)
Enable it in Settings → Security. It uses a TOTP authenticator app (e.g. Google Authenticator). Print or safely store your backup codes!
Privacy settings
You can request a data export or account deletion at any time by emailing privacy@1booq.com. The same address handles your rights under GDPR Articles 15–22 — we typically respond within 30 days.
Invoicing and fees
How billing works
1booq is credit-based: keeping bookable slots active is paid in credits. A main slot costs 100 credits per month, a sub-slot 50 credits per month. As an individual provider (one person, not your full-time business), you can use 1booq for free with no limits — only professional (business) providers pay.
Buying credits
You can buy credits in one-time packs (50, 100, 250 or 500 credits) or via a monthly auto-refill subscription. Payments are handled by Paddle (Merchant of Record), so all invoices come from them with full international VAT handling. Credits cannot be exchanged back to cash and are usable only within the platform.
Cancellation & refunds
You can cancel the monthly credit subscription at any time on the Profile page; you keep the credits already received until the end of that period. As a consumer, you also have a 14-day right of withdrawal (Gov. Decree 45/2014, Hungary) — unused credits can be refunded within that window.
More than just a calendar
1booq supports the full business workflow — these features are also available.
Calendar sync (iCal)
Sync your bookings automatically to your own calendar (Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook). On the Profile page you get a unique iCal URL — add it as a subscription in your calendar app.
Inviting workers
Invite colleagues by email and choose their access level: provider owner / site owner / slot owner / contact / booking handler. Permissions are hierarchical and can be changed any time.
QR code check-in
Clients can show their personal QR code (encoding a unique 9-digit user ID) from their Profile. You scan it on-site for instant identification — no need to remember names or booking numbers.
Public profile page
Every provider gets a unique, shareable public URL (e.g. /provider/your-business). Visitors can book without registering (if you allow it), and see your reviews, sites and opening hours.
Key terms in 1booq
These are the words you'll come across most often on the platform.
Provider
The business or individual offering the service — for example a hair salon, a gym, or a personal trainer. The top of the hierarchy.
Site (location)
A physical location belonging to a provider. One provider can run multiple sites — for example a Budapest and a Szeged location.
Slot (bookable resource)
A specific bookable unit or service (e.g. a table, a room, a treatment chair, a trainer). A site can hold multiple slots, each with its own opening hours and capacity.
Sub-slot
A finer breakdown under a slot (e.g. the 8 individual tables in a restaurant). Clients can pick a specific sub-slot when they book.
Worker
A staff member of the provider, added by invitation. You can pick their permission level so they only see the data relevant to their role.
Booking
A specific reserved appointment. It can be confirmed automatically, or wait for the provider's manual approval — depending on the slot's setting.
Credit
1booq's internal unit for business features (e.g. keeping slots active monthly). 1 credit ≈ the smallest pack quantum; bigger packs are cheaper per credit. Credits aren't refundable to cash.
2FA / TOTP
Two-factor authentication. An authenticator app (e.g. Google Authenticator, Authy) generates a 6-digit code that adds protection on top of your password. TOTP is an open standard, so any compatible app works.
